Pokemon Gen 1 Starter Set

I had this idea to make the starter Pokemon and the professor for each generation.  I started with the set from generation 1, and used the sprites from Pokemon Yellow.

I picked Yellow sprites because I really like the colors from that game and how limited they are within each sprite.  Each sprite only has black, white, and 2 other colors.

Right now they are all separate objects, but I would like to mount them on canvas.  Any suggestions for a background picture?  I was thinking a pokeball, but finding a round canvas the right size might prove too difficult.

I signed up for this blog maybe a year ago and then never did anything with it.  Now might be a good time, I suppose.

This is one of my favorite pieces I have made.  It is the God Gundam, from G Gundam.  This was the first large Super Robot Wars sprite I completed, and I made sure to make it one of my favorite robots from the series.  It is 13"x13" and is made up of roughly 3000 beads.  The orange and some of the yellow on the halo behind the Gundam are made of see-through beads, which look really cool when light shines through them.
